Why Feed the Hungry?

My name Judy S. Jacobs. I retired from the Hillsborough Police Department with 30 years of service. I am a true believer in caring for the hungry. Feeding the poor and the homeless is a mission to show my love for my spiritual family in the community by meeting their very pressing needs. In so I have committed to helping people who are excluded from mainstream society and who are often living with great economic hardship." Feeding The Hungry program is a labor of love.

The most obvious passage that comes to mind is in Matthew 25: “Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink…. Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? ...The King will reply, I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me” (vv. 34-35, 37 40). Also Proverbs 25:21: “If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat; if he is thirsty, give him water to drink.”
