Nancy Gould writes: "I came to North Carolina in 1996 to serve the Lord. I teach inmates Food Service Technology at Orange Correctional Center. I joined this committee to help with the intention of one day having the privilege of designing and purchasing kitchen equipment for the needy.
I have 35 years of experience in the food service industry and I plan to assist in any way I can to see our vision come true. I have seen as many as five former inmates on the food line since their release. I know first-hand the need for these programs, since I was a single parent raising two children on a $10,000 per year salary. I wish these programs were available to me in 1990, but I want to ensure that they are available to those who need them now and in the future."
